Details
Join Bradley Simpson, Restoration Manager, for another walk at Woodend Sanctuary to discover the special summer surprises in the forests and meadows. We will pay special attention to the pond area where we will see blooms such as waterlily, pickerelweed, swamp rose mallow, jewelweed, and so much more. Hummingbirds, dragonflies, eastern phoebes, and goldfinch are some of the wildlife we will see flying past us as we explore. This walk is scheduled for the morning in an attempt to beat the July heat. Please bring plenty of water!
NOTE: We will offer two separate walks: one for adults and a separate family walk for adults and children. The family walk will be led by volunteers well equipped with creating engaging material for children. So that we can adequately staff both walks it is important to RSVP and indicate which walk you will attend.
