Officer Demond Johnson joined the Montgomery County Police Department in July 2010 and graduated in January 2011. After graduation, he was assigned to the Fourth District Patrol Division (Wheaton). He spent three years in Patrol in the Wheaton District before becoming a full-time recruiter from 2013 to 2018. When he left the Recruitment Division, he moved to the 3rd District (Silver Spring) where he spent two years from 2018 to 2020. After spending 2 years in Patrol at the 3rd District Station, he moved to the 2nd District station (Bethesda) in July 2020. Currently, he is assigned to the Community Services Office in the 2nd District station. His duties are to act as a liaison between the community in which he serves and the police department and provide trainings on crime prevention strategies and trends.

Officer Demond Johnson will discuss what the police and residents can do to prevent car thefts and break-ins in our neighborhood, and will provide information on how to set up a neighborhood watch.  He will also share the most recent crime statistics, trends and patterns in our area.  There will be an opportunity to ask questions about other safety issues and concerns.
