Distinguished Neighbor Speaker Series: Christy Bowe - The Truth Behind the Picture

Christy Bowe, a photojournalist, author and neighbor will discuss her book Eyes that Speak: One Woman News Photographer’s Journey with History Makers. She will share her work covering five U.S. Presidents, royalty and a couple of saints along with the back stories behind the pictures.

The Truth Behind the Picture Lecture will consist of some of the significant moments in history Bowe has covered including her eyewitness account of January 6th at the U.S. Capitol, all set to music via zoom.  More can be read about Christy in Bethesda Magazine ‘s November/December 2022 issue.
