In the past few years, there’s been an alarming increase in mental health problems in kids, especially teenagers. What’s caused this spike? What are the warning signs of mental health problems? What can parents and family members do to prevent and alleviate their children’s distress? When should you seek professional help? What local and online resources are available?

Join Dr. Dominique Foulkes, Chair of Pediatrics at Suburban Hospital, for answers to these questions and yours.

Dominique Foulkes, M.D., is Medical Director and Chair of Pediatrics at Shaw Family Pediatric Emergency Center at Suburban Hospital.  Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Foulkes has practiced at Suburban for most of her medical career.

She is an advocate for community outreach, specifically in the area of mental illness and behavioral health, as a result of a dramatic increase in adolescent emergency room mental health visits.

Her expertise is personal as well as professional. Dr  Foulkes is the mother of 6 children.
