Details

Rain date, Sunday, June 1.

Join Nature Forward’s Bradley Simpson for a morning birder’s walk. Come explore the habitats of Woodend and the birds that call Woodend home for the warm months of spring and summer. Nesting bluebirds, rustling grackles, and screeching hawks are among the many bird species that use Woodend for food, water, and shelter. If you have binoculars, please bring them. Woodend has a limited number of binoculars, which will be available.

Bradley Simpson manages the restoration of Woodend’s natural habitats. He has conducted urban forest research in New York City as well as at Woodend, categorizing thousands of plants. He has a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland and is working toward a master’s degree to further his knowledge of urban forest ecology.

Because there is an event at Woodend, we will meet at 9 am at the trailhead at the Brierly…
